Water Problem on Storage Tank

On the daily life we often need storage tank to stock clean water. This stock water can't be keep too long on the storage tank because if too long keep on the storage tank the problem sometimes arise on water storage tank. If water supply already proceed perfectly maybe the problem will not arise even long time keep on the water storage, but still can't too long because other contamination of microorganism may be come to the water storage.

If your water supply already clean you can keep for one week, but if your water supply have bad quality may only one day your water can stock on the storage because your water quality will change very fast on the storage tank.

The common problem on the storage tank usually will grow moss after keep only for 3 days on the storage tank. This condition can make we really busy to the clean the storage tank every 3 days. The growing of moss very fast especially if expose to sunlight, either directly or non directly. The growing of moss will make water have fishy smell, and much of moss dilute on the water. If this condition is let too long will arise sludge of moss on the storage tank.

On my experience those condition can be overcome by covering the torn with opaque roof or by painting the torn with white color.  White color to make sunlight is re-emitted not absorb by the color of torn. To make sunlight can't through the torn make thick paint for your torn surface.

Parameters Test For Drinking Water

Some parameters should be tested to control the quality of drinking water, in order to keep best performance of drinking water. If you just use drinking water for yourself it is up to you, to decide when and how to test your water, but if drinking water is used for community, you must test regularly the important parameters in quality drinking water.

Water Needed

Many Industry need huge water to process their product. Water needed should be fulfill from the surface water like from River or lake and their waste water also will flow back to the river or lake. This circulation of water needed and water sent back to the surface water sometime have different quality, so this condition should be controlled tightly.

Quality standard from government sometime too loose fitting, so the industry can arbitrary act. Some water quality standard from government make suitable with the quality of industry but not all water parameter shown on the water discharge quality. Water discharge from industry may fulfill this standard but actually have many other parameter that don't check by industry because have no limitation on the government standard and no need to reported.

To make our environment can control, government must accurate to determine their quality standard for industry. The river water quality must better after the water quality that is discharge from industry can fulfill the standard. Water dischard quality for every country has differeed, some developed countries have high quality standard so not every kind of industry can be built in there, only save industry can be built in order can control the quality of water river after industrial discharge.

Clean Water Need Increase

Water crisis in the world become clearer lately, for certain country never get water supply even from the sky. These countries have dry season all the year. While other countries get water too much even flooding everywhere, but this water can’t be used because not clean. Water flooding mixed with others like with waste and other poisonous materials and other contaminated materials.

Clean water is essential to our life. The amount of fresh water on earth is limited, and its quality is under constant pressure. Preserving the quality of fresh water is important for the drinking-water supply, food production and recreational water use. Water quality can be compromised by the presence of infectious agents, toxic chemicals, and radiological hazards.

About 13% of world population still rely on unimproved water sources like surface water from lakes, from rivers, dams or unprotected dug wells or springs. This water source use for drinking, cooking, bathing and other domestic activities.

The need of clean water always increase year by year. In low income countries, the annual rate of increase needs to double to achieve the target and efforts to narrow the gap in coverage between urban and rural areas need to be intensified.

Drinking Water Contamination

Water become an important substance for human, animals and plants. Some contamination on water by microbe can causes diseases for human, animals and plants. This microbe can come from air or from many source like from animals sick or from contaminated plants.

Microbe are small organism that are present in the environment and some are capable of causing diseases in humans, animals or plants. They are present all around us in air, soil and water. Prior to the advent of modern water treatment involving disinfection and filtration, water-borne diseases have killed thousands of people all around the world. In areas that lack of modern sanitation and perfect water treatment, water borne diseases are still a major contributor to mortality.

The type of microbes that cause water-borne illness are can from some source as follows:
1. Bacteria: The diseases that caused by water-borne include chlorela and tyyphoid.
2. VIruses: Water-borne viral diseases include of polio, hepatitis, and various gastrointestinal diseases.
3. Protozoa: Water-borne protozoa that cause diseases include Giardia and cryptosporidium.

The above diseases usually occur as a result of inadequate treatment of drinking and wastewater.

The kind of risk that may happen to human:Everyone is at a risk for water-borne diseases, but infant, children, older persons and immuno compromised people are generally at increased risk. SOme persons maybe at higher risk depending on the organism, its mode of spread, and occupation, e.g. personnel at day care centers. Those on chemotherapy, organ or bone marrow recipient, persons with HIV or AIDS, are alos at increased risk.

Symptoms of infected by water-borne diseases.

1. Abdominal discomfort or cramping
2. Fever
3. Vomiting
4. Diarrhea
5. Loss of weight and fatigue may accompany several of the viral illnesses
6. SYmptoms are more severe for people with weakened immune systems and can lead to death.
